Larchwood has a population of 866, based on the 2010 census. This small town features many businesses, including a bank, clinic, restaurant, 9-hole golf course and active Community and Betterment Clubs.
City government is led by mayor Dean Snyder and city council members Mike Metzger, Ken Kerkvliet, Ted Underberg, Tanner Tracy and Brian Meffert. Sandi DeSmet serves as city clerk.
The Larchwood City Park is located on Holder Street/Highway 9 between Rulland and Williams Streets.
The City is very proud of their park. The Jesse Fell Walkway is a great place to take a walk or ride your bike through the European Larch and Catalpa Trees. The park is beautifully landscaped and also offers a playground, tennis/basketball court, volleyball, soccer and baseball area.
