Inwood has a population of 814, based on the 2010 census. This small town at the crossing of Highway 182 and Highway 18 features many businesses, including a bank, clinic and nursing care facility, restaurant and the Horizons Development Organization.
City government is led by mayor Gerald Brands and city council members Kyle Knobloch, Mark Timmerman, Rebecca Bixler, Chad Evans and Kenny Scholten. Carol Vander Kolk serves as city clerk.
